History
In the 1870’s the Depot Area was the heartbeat of the town with two railroads intersecting at the station called “Windham Junction”. B&M Railroad ran the Manchester to Lawrence Line (M&L) and the Worcester, Nashua, Portland (WNP) at the time was the busiest single track line in the country. This area was the gathering spot for the residents and the place to catch up on all the news.
George Seavey built this stately Victorian property in 1886 while he was overseeing his thriving sawmill and cider business. Over the years this barn became a general store serving this end of town and anchoring the corner once known as Main Street.
We fell in love with the Junction after seeing the quaintness and history established here and knew we wanted to make this part of our life. The “Country Store” was our first project and “The Kitchen” fit just right with our dreams. Our hope is that you, our patrons, will return to Windham Junction to catch up on all the local news as well as enjoy some real Old Fashioned Home Cooking and Good Cheer!
